Today Sister Kathleen Grimley shared that she spent almost her whole (missional) life in Taiwan, and only 3-4 years in China. She thought she was going to die in Taiwan. But, due to eye problem she had to find eye specialists in US. She retired and came back to the States 8 years ago. She is 93 this year! Thank God that Her eyes can see, her ear can hear, her legs can walk!!

Subject “Three Days to See”

Charles Dickens, a famous English novelist

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way⋯⋯

Thank you very much

God Bless!

Dear Jane,

Thank you very much for your kind letter and all the lovely souvenirs you sent me from your Alma Mater, the Tainan Girls’ High School.  That gesture brought back so many treasured memories of my days of teaching there.

I was so touched by all the testimonials of various students, but sad to say, I have a hard time trying to read them, because my vision is now very poor, and I can read only extremely large print.

The doll  was the cutest thing I have ever seen.  It was such an exact replica of “the days of yore.”  The only exception was the hairdo.  I guess the square haircut down to the earlobes was hard to do on a doll.  I also loved the tiny bookbag, something only someone who saw them day after day could appreciate.

The photos you sent brought back many happy memories, too.  They were taken a good 50 years ago or more.  I suppose some of the “girls” in them are grandmothers by now.

I try to read all those typed pages of individual messages, but my eyes have a hard time.  I do appreciate very much all the time it took you to collect and type them. Through you, I would like to thank each individual who contributed to such a grand collection of memories.   I pray that God will bless every single one of you.

         Gratefully,       Sister Kathleen
